report on our Taipei trip
Just returned from our Taipei trip yesterday. Been kinda rainy over there, nice cool weather!
Our Itinerary:- *23-26th Mar 06*
DAY 1
6.30am: Checked in SQ872
12.30pm: Touched down 中正国际机场 (CKS Airport), took a cab to hotel NT$1210 (abt S$60+) Very EX right!!
2.30pm: Finally got to the 长虹大饭店 (Rainbow Hotel)
Noon: Unpacked & had shabu shabu at 西门町
Eve: Headed to 士林 night market (剑潭 station), had steam pork bun, dumpling, fried chicken, a lot of junk and bubble tea
DAY 2
Morning: Breakfast in hotel, porridge, eggs, bread toast with butter & sugar
9am: Off to新北投 hot spring followed by lunch at KFC. We shared a 黑胡椒猪排 burger meal
Noon: to淡水老街 walk walk, birdy whacked 炸鸡排 again!!! Bus to鱼人码头, heard that couples have to finish walking the bridge hand in hand for everlasting love, how true??? is up to you to believe…
Eve: dinner at 蛋蛋屋, omelette wrapped rice, walked around西门町, if I remembered correctly, birdy had another炸鸡排 before having dinner!!
Felt feverish, maybe I still hadn’t recover fully from my running nose disease + freaky wet weather.
DAY 3
Morning: Breakfast in hotel, pretty well sick of the food cos it’s the same dishes, had only 2 bread with butter & strawberry jam, I realized it’d been quite some time since I take butter & jam with bread, tasted easy & smooth.
After which we went praying at 龙山寺, 中正纪念堂 (CKS memorial hall), then had lunch at 台北101，新光三越，New York New York.
Bought our太阳饼 at新光三越, B2.
A lot of clothes shoes bags in 五分埔, after a very long day of walking, my leg gave way, had no choice but to go back to hotel
Had a short nap and continued our journey. 阿宗面线 is the best! We shared a bowl for dinner then to士林 and start stuffing ourselves with junks again!!!
The 炸鸡排 we had is really one BIG piece, 大饼包小饼，鸡蛋虾仁煎. We played prawn and turtle fishing, FUN!! However we were kind of lousy lost to a little boy who fished a lot of turtle in one shot! He won himself a free turtle to be brought home.
Finally got back to hotel and started packing for our departure the next day, phew!
DAY 4
Time to catch the plane back home! Yippee… missed coco & nana, wondered if they miss me too.
We shared the beef cup noodles for breakfast, and MAMAMIA~! Oiishi desu! Pieces of beef meat packed in the noodle bowl too!! Decided to stock up and bring some back to SIN.
We took 飞狗 shuttle bus service to the airport. Much cheaper, about NT$300 for 2.
Had a squabble at the end of the day, hope things will improve soooooon……………………
